Sorry to hear that DBAA

I like the sketch so far. The only discrepancies I can see is the nose and a small area around the mouth appears to be a little large. The reason why the head looks large might be due to the fact that there is no real separation from the head and neck in the sketch. However, the guidelines are there so that is not a problem. Moreover, the lower right eye appears to be lower a little bit.

Regardless, of that I find the sketch and photo very lovely. He looked so relaxed. The cat was very beautiful! R.I.P Moonshine.

Thanks black! If I can find time I will try and work out those problems; I see exactly what you mean. I think changing the eye/nose/mouth around might really help. Kind of like when you draw a human face, but if something is off just slightly everything around it feels off too.

Unless anyone else has some suggestions, I might take this once I'm happy with the changes and go straight for the canvas

And thanks for the kind words Black He was a very awesome cat; irreplaceable is the best adjective I have to describe him.

RIP Moonshine. You can at least take comfort to know that he had lived a long and fulfilling life. Death is a part of life and I think it is a great idea to immortalize Moonshine's memory by doing a drawing of him. I hope you feel better.

Black seemed to have addressed my concerns on the sketch. I was going to say that his head seems about too long/wide but I think it is more of how certain parts need to be adjusted.

If you flip the drawing horizontally , you'll notice that the eyes are not aligned properly and may need to be fixed like Black said. (This is a trick most artists do to make sure that their drawings are not lopsided.)

Here's the flipped version:

Hmm I see. I might be able to conjure time tonight (MOST of my assignments are done now, so I can afford some leeway) to go about fixing this. I still need to make Black's edits as well, so I will keep both in mind. I opened up my canvas from its packaging (got them during not only back to school season BUT at a 100th anniversery sale. so they were paired and really cheap ); just a question. Its got a package with wooden sticks, and the back of the canvas (the wood) has sections in the corners I feel like they need to go in.

Why, if I may ask, do I need this? Their point doesn't feel very clear. I know they likely should go into the slits, but I can't really see a purpose for them. Might be a good time for me to learn this for when I used my other 5 canvases o_O
